New Episode: Kate Laughlin
Kate Laughlin (she/her) is a movement-based artist with a concentration in improvisation techniques and contemporary forms. With collaboration at the core of her creative habit, Kate is interested in movement invention and discovering new ways to propel the body through dynamic experiences. Her work is grounded in creating, sharing, and listening to others to express an authentic and universal truth. Her work has been showcased in the 2021 American College Dance Association Gala #2, and has been commissioned by Ball State University for several projects from 2019-2021. Kate has performed at The Joyce Theatre in New York, American Dance Festival in their annual Footprints show, Koresh Artists Showcase, the Midwest RADfest, and others. She has also worked with Sidra Bell, Masha Maddux, Charles O. Anderson, Susan Koper, Jamy Meek, & Indya Childs. Kate is a recent graduate of Ball State University with a BFA in choreography and performance.
